The installation explores the relationship between the artist’s authorship and the audience’s autonomy.
The sound artwork was accessed through a site-specific FM broadcast transmitted to handheld radios with headphones.
Participants moved through the space and played with the receiver’s antenna, weaving in intereference from other FM broadcasts and static.
This engagement altered the original piece into a unique and nonreproducible work for each contributor.
